Reporting projects are executed by Dream Report Run-time. The Dream Report Run-time runs as an application or as a service on either a Windows Workstation or Windows Server operating system. While largely invisible to the user, the Run-time Management Console (RMC) provides visibility to the background running process, letting you start, stop, reload and interact with your reports. The RMC user interface shows the list of reports to be executed and the current status for each one. It also enables you to select any report and generate it manually. A feature called the Dynamic Report Generator also lets you generate reports with custom time periods, batch selections, etc. This lets users regenerate past reports at any time.
The Dream Report run-time manages all connections with real-time and historian data sources. It runs as a communication server, supporting two-way communication. It can log thousands of events per seconds to any ODBC compliant database.

The Dream Report run-time can generate PDF reports. It can also export data to Excel. It’s the simplest solution to get data into Excel without needing to do calculations and formatting in other background sheets. Tell Dream Report the calculation you need and where to insert it. No scripting, no macros, no code will be needed. Just drag and drop the objects you want to export and Dream Report will place the results into a Sheets and Workbooks that you specify.
The Dream Report run-time also manages a WEB server that will provide access to all your reports and dashboards over the intranet/internet. Internet connectivity is not required. Any Web Browser can simply access and interact with Dream Report over a local network. The portal can manage multiple concurrent users and their access rights.
