Kepware just announced their new version of KEPServerEX version 5.16, and it includes a Local Historian with OPC HDA capability. OPC HDA is the History Data Access standard by the OPC Foundation. Dream Report supports the OPC HDA standard, and with version 4.6 R3, Dream Report also delivers the ability to separate its data connectors from the Dream Report server. This means your KEPServerEX Local Historian can be operating on a dedicated piece of equipment, and your Dream Report can be connected to it over a secure Web Service interface, either over your intranet or the internet. Dream Report can be hosted on your own server or on a server being cloud hosted.  There is no extra charge for installing Dream Report connectors remotely.  The OPC HDA interface in Dream Report is not new, but it is refreshing to see additional data sources coming to the market.  The value of Dream Report just continues to grow.
